Adding 2 to 3 commas after the phone number
(Improves ability to connect and staying connected.)

Open My Computer
Open Dial-Up Networking
Right Click on your Midcoast.com Icon.
Left Click on Properties.
Under Telephone Number
Add 2 - 3 commas after the phone number.



You should uncheck Use area code and Dialing Properties

Turn down the modem buffers to improve the connection.

Open My Computer
Open Control Panel
Open Modems 
Properties 
Connection
Port Setting
Pull the Receive and Transmit Buffer back one to make a more stable connection.
