April 2001

• April 24, 2001 8:00pm. Due to some sort of phone line problem, we are short 23 lines this evening at 593-9332 and the Camden/Waldoboro/Belfast numbers that go along with it on the who is on the modems page. This is being investigated.
• April 18-19, 2001 One of our new T1s are down. This causes less than ideal performance for some users, but it's not an outage. It is one of our BGP load-balanced T1s, so connectivity was not affected. It is a Verizon problem and the appropriate people have been notified to repair it.
• April 13, 2001 11:50am. A Power outage shortly after 11am darkened the back half of Rockland. This power outage has outlasted the UPSs at our benner hill site. This affects Union modems, as well as wireless customers using Benner Hill.
• April 12, 2001 8:10am. For a short time this morning, people using midcoast.com as an smtp server had a problem. This has been fixed.
• April 10, 2001 8:00-10:20am. Union callers were not able to get through this morning to 785-6622 (and possibly other numbers). This was due to a Tidewater electrical problem which has been corrected.
• April 7, 2001 7:30-10:00am. Lincolnville DSL and 563-8999 users were not able to get far this morning due to a downed T1 going into Damariscotta. We have rerouted things over our other T1 to Damariscotta while we investigate.
• April 3, 2001 9:30 am The wireless access point on top of Ragged flaked out this morning. People who use the Ragged Mountain directional or the Camden downtown access points for wireless had trouble this morning starting around 9am. Restarting equipment on the mountain has fixed things.
