- April 30, 2002 10:30am - 11:30am. The mailserver
sugar.midcoast.com's motherboard failed. Other important components were
moved to a brand new spare computer and sugar.midcoast.com is working fine
now.
- April 29, 2002 3:45pm. If you are a Verizon phone customer and
use these dial-up numbers of ours: 2362266, 3388488, 5939397, 5962430,
8329912, please change it to: 1-500-699-7200.
- April 29, 2002 3:00pm. Camden wireless users who use the
Wayfarer broadcast point may have a short interuption while we work on the
equipment there.
- April 26, 2002 sugar.midcoast.com was restarted at 10:20 this
morning. For a short time this morning, people we unable to use mailman.
This restart fixed it.
- April 23, 2002 New dialin number: 1-500-699-7200. This
is now available for MIS customers in Verizon phone teritory to use. This
is toll-free if you are a Verizon phone customer in the state of Maine.
This does not work from independent phone companies. We will not be
getting rid of our lines in the areas served by the independent phone
companies. Please use the 500 number instead of 2362266, 3388488, 5939397,
5962430, 8329912, or 5962430.

phone numbers may be disrupted for a short time around 2:00 pm. This is so
we can move equipment to the new Data Center. Verizon will be moving the
phone numbers to the new location as well.
- April 22, 2002 For about 30 minutes ending at 1:35pm, some
people have had trouble getting places within Midcoast and outside of
Midcoast. We believe this is fixed now. If you have tried something
recently that usually works, let us know! This problem was due to routing
complications with us adding in 3 new T1s. It should speed things up
nicely now.
- April 13, 2002 One of the wireless access points at the
Rockland Courthouse is malfunctioning. We will fix it as soon as are
provided access to the building. If you use the access point that is not
working, you will have to dial in until we can fix it.
- April 10, 2002 Morning - 2362266, 3388488, and 8329912 are not
working at the moment because Verizon screwed things up. Moving the lines
didn't happen yesterday, so we're trying again Friday. Meanwhile,
someone at Verizon went ahead and messed things up ahead of schedule. We
expect this will be fixed shortly.
