- August 25, 2003 Some Damariscotta and Lincolnville area DSL
customers are having trouble today with the DSL system. We are aware of
this and are troubleshooting the problem. Update August 26, 2003,

- August 21, 2003 Some people using our proxy server for good
performance are using quiver.midcoast.com, quivering.midcoast.com, or
206.26.224.133 for a hostname in the proxy server field. If you are
using these settings, please change them to 10.0.0.3 as soon as possible.
- August 20, 2003 In addition to spam filtering, MIS now has a
filtering option to block incoming email attachments that are commonly
associated with viruses. This might be handy for some people with the
current flurry of Sobig viruses traveling by email. Call our office or
email help@midcoast.com to request to have the filter enabled. Advanced
users can use the akon command via ssh.

suggestions in this
link and/or take your computer to a repair shop if you are unable to
fix it yourself.
