• January 30, 2001 4:00 pm. Some people calling 593-9397 or 236-2809 got fast busies. Our equipment for those numbers is not full. We have call Verizon to see if they have any problems with the lines.
• January 30, 2001 8:00 am. People who use the Owls Head Omni for wireless access are having trouble this morning. We have people working on fixing it right now. Some customers might be switched over to another (working) broadcast antenna while repairs are taking places. Wireless customers in other areas are not affected by this work. 9:00am update: This has been fixed.
• January 26, 2001 MIS, Tidewater, and Paradyne worked much of the afternoon trying to determine the ocassional lincolnville center DSL problem. We weren't able to come to any conclusions while it was working when we were testing it. Work will continue Monday.
• January 25, 2001 Tidewater has installed another 24 lines for 563-6622 in Damariscotta. We are testing new equipment on them and hope to have them in service in a couple of days.
• January 23, 2001 10:15am. Our Sprint T1 was moved over to different equipment at the other end of the circuit in NY or NJ. This is a fix Sprint did to improve the reliability of their circuit to us.
• January 22, 2001 Some Lincolnville DSL customers are having ocassional problems. We are working with Tidewater to investigate and track this down.
• January 22, 2001 9:40am. The Sprint T1 is not working starting at that time. We have notified Sprint and they are working on it. This would cause a minority of internet connections to not be able to get outside of midcoast.com. Using the proxy server (address 10.0.0.3, port 8080) will get around this. Update: 10:50am. Sprint has fixed this.
• January 18, 2001 5:30pm. The modem servers discussed below were reset to clear some modems. This caused people to either get knocked off once during this time, or not be able to login at that time only for those people who were using those numbers.
• January 15, 2001 3:30pm-4:00pm. One of the modem servers for 5939397 (and a couple other numbers on the same equipment) had some trouble for a short time. This has been fixed.
• January 12, 2001 11:20-ish am. Wireless users and Owls Head and part of Rockland that use the Owls Head omni will have a short outage of a few minutes while an amplifier is being replaced on the tower.
• January 9, 2001 3:30pm. Wireless users in the Camden area that are using the Brace access point are not able to access the internet. It appears to be a power outage in the Brace building. Upon investigation, someone had used our electrical service for ice-melting equipment and tripped a breaker. It has been properly rewired now and our equipment is functioning.
