- July 30, 2007 Monhegan wireless is currently down. We believe
this to be a power related issue and a tech has already been dispatched.
- July 25, 2007 > The downstream provider of our VoIP system will be doing
some system maintenance between midnight and 6am. There could be serveral
outages during this time. If your phone does not work after this
time, please unplug your VoIP adapter for 5-10 minutes and then plug the
device back in.
- July 20, 2007 The downstream provider of our VoIP system will
be doing some system maintenance between midnight and 4am. There will be
an outage at some point durning this time frame, but it should only last
a few minutes.
- July 18, 2007 Some North Haven wireless customers are having
problems. We believe this is an antenna problem at the water tower and
will be sending someone to investigate and change parts.
- July 18, 2007 11:00am. Some North Haven wireless customers
will be out of service for about 15 minutes while we do some
troubleshooting.
- July 18, 2007 9:30am. Tidewater area DSL was out of service
for a few minutes while we changed a piece of equipment that was causing
trouble.
- July 17, 2007 6:30-7:30am. 563 number modems will be out of
service for an equipment move during this time.
- July 16, 2007 8:21am Some Thomaston area wireless customers
are out of service. A tech as been dispatched to investigate.
- July 12, 2007 An upgrade has been completed at the Islesboro
School repeater to increase capacity and bandwidth to those users.
- July 11, 2007 The North Haven water tower access point that
was having trouble has a new problem. We will be working on it Friday.
Customers who aim to this access point now associate with a backup
access point that is not optimally aimed for them. This causes slower
performance.
- July 10th, 2007 8:27am: Server jet.midcoast.com has gone down
again, a tech is being dispatched to correct the problem and relplace if
needed. This effects Verizon area DSL customers that use our servers for
sending e-mail. Update: Jet has been replaced with a new server.
- July 10, 2007 7:56am: The phone server that went down for a
routine update was completed this morning. However, customers are having
trouble connecting back to this server. Therefore customers who have
Internet Phone service with MIS are down at the moment. We are
working quickly to resolve the issue.
- July 10, 2007 7:54am: One of the access points on the North
Haven water tower is not working. We have rebooted this device and it is
still not responding. A tech will be heading to the Island this morning
to replace the failing/bad part.
- July 5, 2007 8:30am: The jet.midcoast.com server is
misbehaving. This server is the SMTP (sending mail) server for DSL
customers in Verizon areas. JP is on his way to the data center to check
it out. Update, 9:15am: The server is back online.
- July 3, 2007 6:15-6:45am. DSL in the tidewater areas will be
out of service while we replace a piece of equipment. Updated:
additional equipment was changed at about 11:00am causing a few minutes
outage.
