May 2006
- May 30, 2006 1:50pm. Verizon area dialup customers are having
trouble authenticating at this time. This is due to a problem at one of
our backbone connections. This outage also affects Verizon area DSL
customers. Other customers have been automatically rerouted to use the
other backbone connection. Update: 4:25pm The problem has been
repaired.
- May 28, 2006 8:00pm. Some Clary Hill and Hatchet Mountain
customers had intermittent problems today. A change was made that
corrected that.
- May 25, 2006 9:30am. Some gear is being replaced on Ragged
Mountain.
This will affect wireless customers in Thomaston, Owls Head, and some
parts of Camden. The outage will last from 1/2 to two hours.
Update - 11:10am: The work has been completed.
- May 25, 2006 10:00am Westport wireless is fully working with
the installation of replacement 2.4ghz gear.
- May 23, 2006 Westport wireless is mostly working. New 5ghz
point-to-multipoint equipment and antennas were installed on the tower.
2.4ghz customers are still out. 2.4ghz equipment was installed on the
tower and we still have to change one more piece inside to restore
service for that.
- May 19, 2006 11:45am. Westport seems to be without power. We
are sending staff from our Newcastle office to investigate and start the
generator if necessary. Update 3:00pm Power was out and is
restored. However, there was lightning damage. We are still assessing
and correcting that problem. Lightning took out our surge protectors,
UPS, 5ghz point-to-multipoint radio equipment, backup 2.4ghz equipment,
the other backup 2.4ghz equipment, and all of the other tenant's
equipment. Currently functioning are the backhaul link, router, and
equipment for 900mhz service in Westport. Repair work is scheduled for
Tuesday.
