- November 30, 2005 5:00pm 230-3600 and 832-3060 dialup numbers
had a problem late this afternoon. We have rerouted the numbers to other
functioning equipment and will replace the failed equipment tomorrow.
- November 30, 2005 North Haven. We have replaced an antenna at
Benner Hill last night with hopes of the fixing the problem which has
caused an outage to North Haven for a couple days. This did not work,
we are scheduled to come back out Thursday morning to start replacing
equipment on the water tower. In the mean time please use your back up
dial-up account for internet access.

12:30pm Wireless is working again at Westport. The lightning
damaged equipment high on the tower was replaced.
- November 28, 2005
1:00pm New equipment was installed at Ragged Mountain,
restoring service for those affected in Rockport and Camden.
1:00pm Problems at Westport Island were also investigated and
the problem was determined to be on the tower there. Someone will be working
on the tower to repair it tomorrow.
2:10-3:30pm. All Tidewater/Lincolnville Telephone area DSL
service and 563 exchange modems stopped working. The cause was
determined to be a failed piece of fiber-optics equipment in our
Rockland datacenter. It was quickly replaced with a spare.
4:30pm. A failed power supply has caused an outage for North
Haven wireless customers. A replacement will be taken over by ferry and
installed sometime in the morning.
- November 25, 2005 7:00pm. CMP and the site owners spent much
of the day restoring power to Ragged Mountain. After this was done, we
were permitted to hike to the site and begin our repair work. Winter
dusk and night are beautiful atop Ragged Mountain. Some radio
equipment that serves wireless customers in Camden/Rockport and DSL
customers at Quarry Hill is lightning damaged and beyond repair. We will
be replacing the damaged gear Monday.
- November 25, 2005 Good Morning! We had a problem with the
Union dial-up number of 785-6622. This has been located and fixed.
Update:We are still working on the problems with Internet
Accelerator
and Ragged Mountain as of 10:00am this morning.
- November 24, 2005 Happy Thanksgiving! At about 3pm, we had a
short (30 minute) power outage at Benner Hill. This caused problems
for some wireless users for the duration of the outage until the
generator was started. Power trouble at Ragged Mountain has caused a
piece of equipment to stop working atop the mountain. This services some
wireless customers in Camden/Rockport and DSL customers at Quarry Hill.
We will attempt hike the mountain and repair the problem tomorrow.
- November 23, 2005 At times today, there has been some trouble
with the internet accelerator system. We are working on it. While it is
being investigated and worked on, you can temporarily disable
accelerator by right-clicking on the purple V in the tray on the lower
right of your screen. From there you can disable the accelerator.
- November 9, 2005 This afternoon, some Union dialup customers
had trouble getting outside of our network. This problem has been fixed.
- November 6, 2005 12:45-1:10pm. During this time, we had a
problem with our main internet router. This affected most internet
activity.
- November 1, 2005 1:10-1:30pm. Some internet sites were not
reachable during this time. We believe this was a short term problem
at one of the larger internet backbone companies. No problems were
found on our systems during this disruption.
