• November 28, 2007 5:30pm. The mailserver mc3 which takes care of 1/5 of the midcoast.com email addresses is having a problem with it's hard drive. We are working on the repair at this time. Mail for the customers on that server will build up while it being repaired.
• November 26, 2007 Noon. Union and Hatchet mountain sites will be affected by a quick upgrade. This will cause a 1-2 minute interuption.
• November 20, 2007 9:40am. Power is out in our Owls Head tower. A tech has been dispatched with a back-up generator. This affects wireless customers in Owls Head, Spruce Head, Islesboro, and some parts of Rockland. 1:00pm - the UPS failed when we connected it back to utility power after the outage. As a result, we upgraded it to a new larger battery system. Owls Head should have considerable runtime without power (8-12 hours) as a result of this upgrade.
• November 16, 2007 8:35pm Dark Harbor tower on Islesboro seems to out of service at the moment. We are investigating. Update: November 17, 2007 11:30am The problem was a failed cable that connects to the antenna. It has been replaced and all is normal again.
• November 13, 2007 4:15pm New tower site deployed next to Salt Shed building on Islesboro. It is now ready for customers. Please visit our wireless page for more details or call: (207) 594-8277 or (207) 563-8563.
• November 13, 2007 11pm-6am Our upstream provider for our Digital Phone service will be performing maintenance. This can/will cause several outages during this time.
• November 12, 2007 7:30am Camden wireless customers as well as customers who point to Ragged Mountain are without service. We are investigating. Update: The problem was a blown UPS, we will be working throughout the day installing a new larger battery system as we have with other sites to increase runtime and reliability.
• November 12, 2007 5:30am South Hope Internet Transmitter is out of service at the moment another tech has been dispatched.
• November 7, 2007 5 pm. Our Vinalhaven site has power again. Fox Island Electric had to do a great deal of work in that area and replace the transformer serving that location.
• November 7, 2007 1 pm. Belfast wireless customers are currently without service. We have dispatched a tech to investigate. Update: The problem was our backhaul to the Belfast location. The problem has been corrected.
• November 6, 2007 9:45am. Power is out at Ragged Mountain and surrounding areas in Camden. Power is also out at Hatchet Mountain and surrounding areas in Hope. Power has been restored as of 11:20am.
• November 5, 2007 Power has been restored to everywhere except Isle of Spring and Vinalhaven.
• November 5, 2007, 6:00-6:30am. There could be outages during this time while an upgrade takes place with our main Internet connections.
• November 3, 2007 7:30pm. Power is out due to the storm in certain places. Nobleboro is running on backup power from it's big new battery system, and someone has been dispatched to start the generator. The Ash Point wireless repeater is temporarily without power. Westport is running on generator power. 9:00pm. Power is restored at Nobleboro and Ash Point. Power is out at the Waterman's beach and Islesboro school repeaters.
• November 2, 2007 Our equipmment at Isle of Spring is without power. We have been working to contact island staff to address the issue.
• November 1, 2007 12am-3am. Our upstream provider for our Digital Phone service will be performing maintenance. This can/will cause several outages during this time.
