• October 31, 2007 12:45pm Users may have noticed a slow down for internet traffic. This was a router issue and was addressed within 5 minutes. All is normal again.
• October 29, 2007 10:30-11:30am. There could be serveral outages during this time that effect dial up customers and wireless customers in the Union area. This is due to a capacity upgrade that is going to take place.
• October 23, 2007 9:10am. CMP is replacing some equipment which provides power up to ragged mountain. The outage has outlasted our battery system. However, service will be restored as soon as power is back on. We are planning to install a larger battery system on ragged to give us increased runtime without power.
• October 18, 2007 10-11am. Wireless customers and dial-up users who use 785-6622 will be out of service for about 15-30 minutes while an upgrade takes place.
• October 17, 2007 10:50-11:00am. There was a short Internet outage caused by an upgrade.
• October 17, 2007 6:20-6:30am. There will be a short Internet outage while an important router is upgraded. This upgrade went smoothly at 5:55am.
• October 12, 2007 6:55-7:00am. DSL in the tidewater areas will be out for a couple minutes in order to complete an upgrade.
• October 11, 2007 7:55am. A problem was discovered with mail server jet.midcoast.com. This server is used by people who have DSL in the Verizon area. The problem has been located and we are working quickly to fix it. Update: 8:20am The problem was been fixed.
• October 9, 2007 4-5pm. There were some short Internet outages during this time. We had equipment damaged by a UPS failure. We have replaced the UPS and believe we have corrected all hardware problems resulting from the event. We will be monitoring the situation to be certain.
• October 11, 200712am-1am. Our upstream provider for VoIP will be performing upgrades. During this time Internet Phone customer will be out of service.
• October 5, 2007 3pm. This afternoon dial-up customers who use the 785-6622 number and wireless customer in Union and Hope will be out of service for a few minutes while another upgrade takes place.
• October 5, 2007 10:30am. The Owls Head wireless tower will lose service for about two minutes while an important upgrade takes place. Update: This morning upgrades went as planned and all is working well.
